Vietnam Birdwatching Club celebrated its first anniversary in May with a party at the Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources in Hanoi.

An action-packed day kicked off with a look at the aims of the club, a review of the first year, plans for developing the club’s activities and increasing membership in its second year. Presentations were made by club founder, and Vietnam Birding tour leader, Le Manh Hung, and one of Vietnam’s most eminent ornithologists, Dr. Nguyen Cu. A birthday cake, champagne, a buffet lunch and musical entertainment by VBC’s multi-talented members followed.
